59.5 million people in PH now fully vaxxed vs COVID-19; 7.8 million got booster

MANILA, Philippines — More than 59.5 million people in the Philippines are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Malacañang said Friday.
Of the number, 7.8 million have already received their booster shots as of February 3, Cabinet Secretary and acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said, adding that 60.5 million people have received at least a first dose of the available vaccines to date.
Nograles also said that 128 million doses of the different vaccines have so far been administered to qualified recipients across the country.
The Philippines was supposed to start vaccinating children 5 to 11 years old on Friday, but this was deferred due to a delay in the delivery of the appropriate vaccines, according to the Department of Health.
