COVID-19 patient found dead in Bacolod hospital
BACOLOD CITY––A COVID-19 patient at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in this city died after he allegedly jumped from the fifth floor of the hospital Monday, Jan. 24.
The 68-year-old patient fell on the roof of a water treatment facility.
The patient from Barangay Estefania was admitted on Jan. 21 in the hospital’s isolation facility, said Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, Police Station 2 head.
Before the incident, the patient insisted on going home after his companion was discharged from the hospital earlier that day.
Pendon said the patient may have felt lonely and alone, which triggered the incident.
