Aurora’s active COVID-19 cases rise to 121
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The coastal province of Aurora registered 27 new COVID-19 patients bringing its active cases to 121 on Monday, Jan. 24.
The Aurora Emergency Operations Center reported 41 recoveries and one death on Monday. The fatality was a resident of Dipaculao town.
The new cases include eight from Maria Aurora, six from the capital town of Baler, six from Casiguran, four from San Luis, and three from Dipaculao.
Baler has the most active cases at 35, followed by Maria Aurora (33) and Dipacualo (16).
Dilasag remains the only town in Aurora with zero COVID-19 cases. The province has eight towns.
Article continues after this advertisementSince the pandemic started in 2020, Aurora has recorded 4,039 COVID-19 cases, of which 3,680 have recovered while 238 had died.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Baler municipal inter-agency task force issued a directive Monday requiring tourists from “green zones” and under quarantine Alert Levels 1 and 2 to present vaccination certificates before they are allowed entry into the town for pre-booked visits.
They also need to present negative rapid antigen test results taken within 72 hours upon their arrival in the capital town.
