61% of Olongapo’s target population inoculated with first dose of COVID vax
OLONGAPO CITY — At least 61 percent of the target population of this city had received the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19, data from the city health office showed on Tuesday, November 23.
The city is eyeing 182,000 residents or 70 percent of its 260, 000-population to get inoculated against the viral disease.
As of Tuesday, a total of 111, 710 residents here received the first dose while 74, 359 or 41 percent of the target population had been fully vaccinated.
The city’s active COVID-19 cases remained at 18 with no new additional infection on Tuesday. Its COVID-19 death toll stood at 20.
Since last year, the city has registered 5,451 COVID-19 cases but 5,119 of these had already been cleared of the disease. It reflected a 94-percent recovery rate.
