Pampanga’s capital city logs zero COVID-19 cases for 2 days

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The City of San Fernando registered zero new COVID-19 cases in two consecutive days as 21 of its 35 villages are now free of the disease.

The city government said zero new cases were recorded on Nov. 21 and 22, while the active cases in 14 villages were down to 40 from 60 a week ago.

On Monday, the capital city registered three new recoveries and a single death.

Santo Niño village has the most active cases at seven, followed by Sindalan at six and Calulut, Dolores, and San Jose at five each.

San Fernando has registered 11,268 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 10,902 had recovered while 326 had died.

The nearby cities of Mabalacat and Angeles both recorded a single new case of COVID-19 on Monday after registering none a day earlier.

Mabalacat City and Angeles City have 10 and 18 active cases, respectively, as of Monday.
