‘Rotary Swimarathon’ bids for world record

THE Rotary Club of Talisay-Cebu will join the Global “Swimarathon,” world’s biggest swimming event.

The public is invited to join the club’s “Rotary Swimarathon” today at 8 p.m. at the YMCA on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.

This is an opportunity for the participants to stay fit and get into the Guinness Book of World Records.

To qualify for the world-record attempt, each swimmer has to swim 100 meters without stopping in an hour from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Also, the club is collecting an entrance fee of P500per swimmer to raise funds for the End Polio Now Campaign.

The Rotary and its partners continue today its efforts in the past 20 years to eradicate the life-threatening disease.
