Fire hits warehouse of consumer goods in Paranaque
MANILA, Philippines– Fire hit a warehouse for grocery items in Paranaque City Thursday night but was declared under control early Friday, an official said.
The fire at the warehouse of Suysing Corporation along South Superhighway Barangay (village) San Martin de Porres began at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, reached fifth alarm before it was declared under control around 5:40 a.m. Friday, said Inspector Wilson Tana of the Paraque Fire Bureau.
Tana said the fire in the warehouse owned by Christina Tan may have started in the receiving area.
Roughly P15 million worth of grocery items were destroyed in the blaze, the cause of which has yet to be determined, Tana said.
