Negros Oriental to drop swab test rule for fully vaccinated visitors

/ 07:14 PM October 27, 2021

DUMAGUETE CITY — Despite increased COVID-19 cases, Negros Oriental will no longer require fully vaccinated travelers to submit a negative swab test upon arrival in the province starting November 1.

Fully vaccinated individuals, however, are required to bring their vaccination cards, government-issued IDs, and a vaccination certificate from the Department of Health.

For unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals, a negative antigen test result will be required, according to Bimbo Miraflor, provincial information officer.

Miraflor said travelers must have their requirements photocopied to be submitted to authorities upon entry to the province.

Negros Oriental is under Alert Level 4, the second-highest of the five alert levels, until October 31 due to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
