Fake signature goods seized by Customs in Binondo warehouse
MANILA, Philippines — Dior face masks, Hello Kitty pajamas.
These were just some of the counterfeit goods carrying labels of popular brands that were seized during a raid in a warehouse in Binondo, Manila on October 22, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) reported Wednesday.
The BOC inspection was conducted in response to an intelligence report that the warehouse had been a repository of items that infringe on the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of certain product labels, the Customs said.
Also found in the warehouse were Jeep caps and Baseus electronics.
“With the absence of the unit owner or representative, the inspection was suspended, and several units were temporarily sealed with 8484 markings,” the bureau said in a statement.
