‘Bark for Love’ dog parade set at Mactan Shrine
VALENTINE’S Day is not only to show affection to loved ones, but also to “man’s best friend.”
A Valentine festival for dogs and dog lovers will be held at the Mactan Shrine from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 26, Sunday.
The event will start with a “Bark for Love” dog parade, followed by an opening ceremony. The registration and free clinic will start at 8 a.m. The free clinic includes rabies vaccination, deworming and vitamin supplementation, neutering and treatment. Pet blessing will be at 9 a.m
From 2 p.m. onwards, there will be a presentation of dog clubs, a demonstration on dog grooming, lectures, games and awarding of prizes.
A live band will provide entertainment.
Interested participants can join the mini-float contest during the morning dog parade.
