Moreno’s chief of staff says boss leads Pulse Asia poll in ‘four-way vote’ for president
MANILA, Philippines — The chief of staff of Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday said his boss would emerge as the winner in a four-way presidential race if the elections were held today.
Citing the latest result of a Pulse Asia survey, Cesar Chavez asserted that the Manila City mayor would have 30 percent of the votes if the final set of presidential candidates in the 2022 polls would just be Moreno, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, and Senators Manny Pacquiao and Panfilo Lacson.
Moreno slightly edged Duterte-Carpio, who came in a close second with 29 percent, according to the Pulse Asia data. Pacquiao and Lacson garnered 18 percent and 13 percent, based on the survey released earlier Wednesday.
“Isko now leads in 4-way vote,” Chavez, the chief of staff of Moreno, wrote on his Facebook page, as he posted a table of the Pulse Asia survey which was not among those released to the media by the survey firm.
The survey result table posted by Chavez shows Metro Manila and Balance Luzon as Moreno’s bailiwick with 47 percent and 36 percent of respondents, respectively, picking the former actor as their president.

In the data released to the media by Pulse Asia, Duterte-Carpio and Senate President Vicente Sotto III appeared as main front runners for the presidential and vice-presidential posts and Moreno, placing third behind former senator Bongbong Marcos.

Moreno only had 13 percent of votes in the primary survey, but the polling firm also considered other potential candidates who have not yet decided on running for the presidential race, like Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Leni Robredo.
In the primary survey, Duterte-Carpio was preferred by 20 percent of the respondents, followed by Marcos (15 percent), Moreno (13 percent), Pacquiao (12 percent), Poe (nine percent), Robredo (eight percent), and then Lacson (six percent).
