Female suspect yields P308k ‘shabu’ in Lucena City bust
LUCENA CITY––Police arrested a female drug suspect and seized over P300,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from her in a buy-bust operation Friday, Sept. 17, in this city.
Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report that anti-narcotics agents arrested Tess Ando, 35, after she sold P500 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Dalahican at 8:16 a.m.
The suspect yielded 14 plastic sachets of meth weighing 15.10 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P102,680 and worth P308,040 in the street market.
Ando was one of the suppliers of shabu to fishers, city port workers, and other drug users in coastal villages and nearby areas.
The police were conducting further investigation to determine the source of the illicit drugs.
The suspect was detained and is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
