Pampanga logs 418 new COVID-19 cases, 19 deaths
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Some 418 Pampanga residents have COVID-19, while 19 had died due to the viral disease, the provincial government reported on Thursday, Sept. 9.
The latest fatalities were residents of the City of San Fernando (3), Arayat town (2), Magalang (2), Mexico (2), San Simon (2), Mabalacat City (1), Floridablanca (1), Porac (1), Bacolor (1), Apalit (1), Candaba (1), Masantol (1), and Minalin (1).
The provincial government said 368 patients have recovered from the disease, while active cases stood at 5,339 on the same day.
It has recorded 35,956 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 28,811 have recovered, while 1,806 have died.
The numbers do not include the highly urbanized Angeles City, which is politically independent of Pampanga.
Article continues after this advertisementAs of Sept. 9, the capital city of San Fernando logged the most active cases at 1,684, followed by Guagua town with 496, and Mabalacat City with 451.
