Work, classes suspended in Oriental Mindoro as Jolina looms

CITY OF CALAPAN – Work and classes are suspended in Oriental Mindoro  as Severe Tropical Storm “Jolina” (international name Conson) is expected to pass between the province and Batangas Wednesday.

Governor Humerlito Dolor announced that “all work in public, private offices and institutions, including schools in all levels, from Bansud until Puerto Galera town are suspended.”

All offices related to relief and rescue operations, health offices and hospitals, and vital institutions that deliver communications, power, energy and medical services, will remain open.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s 8 a.m. bulletin, “Jolina” will make its next landfall in Lobo-San Juan area in Batangas.
