‘Isang’ to stay within PAR till weekend
Tropical Depression “Isang” picked up speed on Thursday but remained far from the Philippine landmass, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
As of 4 p.m. on Thursday, its center was estimated at 1,280 kilometers east of northern Luzon.
According to Pagasa, it maintained its strength despite accelerating, blowing winds of up to 45 km per hour and gusts of up to 55 kph.
Isang moved toward the west-northwest direction at 30 kph and remained unlikely to directly affect the weather condition in the country.
However, it is expected to stay within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) until the weekend, before finally exiting by Sunday. —JHESSET O. ENANO
