8 new COVID-19 deaths logged in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Eight more deaths related to COVID-19 were registered Tuesday in this province, pushing its total death toll to 147.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health officer, said the latest fatalities were 39 to 74 years old, and most had ailments, such as respiratory problems.

At least 20 more cases were added to the province’s COVID-19 data, but 36 patients have recovered, raising its still sick people to 612.

The youngest of the new patients is a 6-month-old boy, while the oldest is an 84-year-old woman. They are both residents of San Narciso town.

The province has recorded 5,086 COVID-19 cases since last year, 4,327 of which have recovered.
