Naked foreign passenger in MRT-3 apprehended, under probe

MANILA, Philippines — A naked foreign passenger who ran along the tracks of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) was apprehended and under investigation on Thursday.

“At around 5:35AM, at MRT-3 Boni Ave. Station, a foreign male passenger, while being checked by security personnel, suddenly removed his clothes, then ran and jumped towards the tracks heading Shaw Boulevard station,” MRT-3 Assistant Secretary Eymard Eje reported in a statement.

Four security personnel ran after the commuter and notified personnel at Shaw Boulevard Station.

By 5:42 a.m., the erring individual was caught and brought back to Boni Avenue Station for further probe.

The passenger, endorsed to the Mandaluyong Police Station, will face a case over the incident.

“The individual was endorsed to the Mandaluyong Police Station for investigation and disposal. A case of alarms and scandal will be filed against the passenger,” Eje said.
