37,635 Zambales residents now fully vaccinated against COVID-19
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 1,149 more residents in this province have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Wednesday (Aug. 4), local health officials said.
According to Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, 501 of the residents got their second dose of AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines while 648 residents received the single dose Janssen vaccine of Johnson & Johnson.
To date, the province has vaccinated a total of 40,003 residents and 37,635 of them are now fully inoculated.
A total of 77,638 doses of vaccines have already been administered in the province (25,346 AstraZeneca, 39,719 Sinovac, and 12,573 Janssen).
The province needs to vaccinate 400,000 of its 590,800 residents to achieve herd immunity.
