3 killed in Batangas road accident
MANILA, Philippines–Three people died after the vehicle they were on figured in an accident with a cargo truck in Batangas, police said.
Police Inspector Liezel Dimaandal, Batangas police spokesperson, said that the Nissan Frontier (CRR-986) carrying five people was traveling along Star Tollway, Barangay (village) San Andres, Malvar in Batangas around 6:15 a.m. when it hit the rear portion of a cargo truck with a still unidentified plate number.
Due to the impact, three passengers of the Nissan Frontier died on the spot. Its driver, Dimaandal said, was brought to Mary Matrix Hospital in Lipa City.

The driver and passengers of the cargo truck were unharmed, she said.
She said the identities of the victims have yet to be determined.
