COVID-19 infects 5 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY––Five new cases of COVID-19 were registered Tuesday among the Philippine National Police workforce in Central Luzon, local virus data showed.

The new cases are among the 1,916 infections recorded by the Police Regional Office 3 since last year.

The regional police health service said its active cases rose to 74 that day.

But two new recoveries were also logged on Tuesday, raising to 1,837 the total number of virus-infected PRO3 personnel who had been healed from the disease.

The COVID-19 death toll of the Central Luzon police remained at five, with no additional fatalities in the past weeks.
