Habagat to prevail over most parts of Luzon; hot, humid weather in Vis-Min
MANILA, Philippines — With Typhoon Fabian already out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), only the southwest monsoon or habagat is affecting several areas of Luzon, which will continue to experience rainy weather, while the rest of the country will have relatively fair weather, the state weather service said on Tuesday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will have monsoon rains, while Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, and Occidental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country is expected to have fair weather, but isolated rain showers or thunderstorms is still a possibility.
“Sa Kabisayaan, patuloy pa din na magiging mainit at maalinsangan panahon pa din ang mararanasan at posible pa din ang isolated thunderstorms,” weather specialist Meno Mendoza said. “Dito sa buong Mindanao ay asahan din na magiging mainit pa din at maalinsangan ang panahon.”
(In Visayas, expect hot and humid weather but there is still a possibility of isolated thunderstorms. In Mindanao, hot and humid weather is also expected.)
