Pagasa: Rainy Monday in parts of Luzon; fair weather in Vis-Min
MANILA, Philippines — Expect a rainy Monday in the Ilocos region, Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro on Monday due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
According to Pagasa’s forecast issued at 4 a.m., the southwest monsoon continues will likewise affect Metro Manila, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas, where cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected.
The rest of Luzon, meanwhile, may be affected by localized thunderstorms.
“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, partikular sa Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol region at Palawan ay magiging maaliwalas ang panahon na may tsansa ng panandaliang buhos ng ulan dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza said.
(The rest of Luzon, particularly Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol region and Palawan will have fair weather but with possible isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.)

“Sa susunod na dalawa hanggang tatlong araw ay wala tayong anumang sama ng panahon na nakikitang makakaapekto sa Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), subalit patuloy na maaapektuhan tayo ng southwest monsoon o habagat,” he said.
(In the next two to three days, we don’t see any weather disturbance that could affect PAR but the southwest monsoon will continue to affect our weather.)
Meanwhile, the two tropical cyclones outside PAR – Typhoon In-fa, formerly Fabian, and Tropical storm Nepartak no longer have direct impact on the country’s weather, according to Mendoza.

Tagaytay: 21 to 26 degrees Celsius
Kalayaan Islands: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cebu: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 27 to 34 degrees Celsius
