COVID-19 infects 65 more people in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Sixty-five people tested positive for COVID-19 on July 24 and 25, bringing the active cases in Zambales to 433.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said two of the new cases were Navy personnel, aged 28-29, who were exposed to their infected colleagues in the Naval Education, Training, and Doctrine Command, where a virus outbreak was reported for the third time.

As of Sunday, 36 people in the Command tested positive for the disease, Bueno said.

Zambales now has 4,163 COVID-19 cases, with 3,621 recovered and 109 dead.
