241 more patients die of COVID-19 — DOH
MANILA, Philippines — Another 241 patients have died of COVID-19 in the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Saturday.
Data from the DOH said the number of deaths accounts for 1.76 percent of the 1,543,281 total COVID-19 cases in the country.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is now at 27,131.
On Friday, the DOH did not log any death in the COVID-19 case bulletin, citing technical issues in the case reporting system.
The Philippines’ active cases are at 54,401, of which 92.4 percent is mild, 1.2 percent is asymptomatic, 1.4 percent is critical, 2.3 percent is severe, and 1.62 percent is moderate.
