‘Big-time’ drug suspect falls in Camarines Norte

LEGAZPI CITY — A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Daet town in Camarines Norte on Thursday night, police said Friday.

Police Colonel Julius Guadamor, Camarines Norte police chief, said Karl Leo Malonzo, 34, was arrested in a hotel in Barangay III of Daet, the provincial capital, at around 10:30 p.m.

Malonzo is a resident of Basud town, also in Camarines Norte, and has been listed by the police as a big-time drug suspect in the province.

Police recovered from him 10 sachets or five grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth P20,000, police said. INQ
