Ilocos Norte has 84 new COVID-19 patients

LAOAG CITY—At least 84 patients were recorded Tuesday to have COVID-19 in Ilocos Norte, health officials reported.

Many of the new infections are in Laoag City (161), Bangui (171), San Nicolas (69), Batac City (62), and Badoc (40).

The local government also reported that an 86-year-old man from this city had died of COVID-19, bringing to 63 the total deaths related to the infection.

Twenty patients were cleared on the same day, bringing to 2,966 the persons who healed from the disease.

At least 660 COVID-19 cases remain active out of 3,689 since the pandemic began in March 2020.
