Tondo bust yields P68,000 worth of shabu, suspect arrested
MANILA, Philippines — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher in Tondo, Manila during a bust on Tuesday that also yielded P68,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth).
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Dino Cello, a 39-year-old man and a resident of Tondo.
According to the police report, Cello was arrested at around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday during the bust inside his house at Purok 5 Isla Puting Bato.
Seized in the bust were three pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be “shabu” with a street value estimated at P68,000.
The suspect is now detained at the MPD Station-14 as charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against him.
