Man stabbed to death by drinking buddy in Quezon
LUCENA CITY –– A 43-year-old man was stabbed and killed by his drinking buddy in Sariaya town in Quezon province on Sunday night.
Sariaya police said in a report Monday that Modesto Masilang was having a drinking session with Rommel Ilagan, 33, and two others in Barangay Antipolo at 6:40 p.m.
A heated argument ensued between Masilang and Ilagan, after which the latter went home.

A few minutes later, Ilagan returned with a fan knife and repeatedly stabbed Masilang.

The victim managed to run, but Ilagan gave chase and attacked the victim again, then escaped.
Masilang died on the way to the Lucena United Doctor Hospital in Lucena City.
The suspect was arrested later in Barangay Balubal, also in Sariaya.
