Pagasa: Brace for hot Saturday weather

MANILA, Philippines —  The state weather bureau said slightly cloudy to cloudy skies with low chances of rain showers are expected over Metro Manila as well as northern, central, and parts of southern Luzon.

Pagasa advised the public avoid direct exposure to the sun especially in the afternoon and stay adequately hydrated.

Pagasa said the maximum temperature in Tuguegarao City may reach 39 degrees Celsius, with the heat index possibly reaching 42 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Palawan, including the Kalayaan group of islands.

Scattered rainshowers are also seen over the Caraga region due to easterlies while slightly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected in the Visayas.
