Drug suspect slain in Camarines Norte sting

LEGAZPI CITY –– A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Mercedes town in Camarines Norte on Wednesday, police said Thursday.

Colonel Julius Guadamor, director of the Camarines Norte police, said Carlo Villagarcia, 31, was killed in Barangay Manguisoc at 12:10 a.m.

Guadamor said Villagarcia, sensing he was transacting with a police agent, fired first at anti-drug operatives and was killed when law enforcers fired back.

Recovered from the suspect were 13 sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) with an estimated value of P18,000 and a caliber .38 revolver. INQ
