More than 9,000 PNP personnel vaccinated against COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 9,044 police officers have already been inoculated against COVID-19, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Monday.
PNP deputy chief for administration Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said this number includes 7,152 and 1,892 police officers vaccinated with Sinovac’s CoronaVac and AstraZeneca jab, respectively.
He said that of the 7,152 police officers injected with CoronaVac, around 1,703 were already given their second dose.
Eleazar added that five police attachés received vaccines abroad – three got Moderna shot while two received Pfizer.
Meanwhile, PNP recently logged 140 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the police force’s total number of infections to 18,669 as of April 18.
