Work, classes suspended in Albay as ‘Bising’ pours rains over Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY –– Local governments in Albay suspended work and online classes on Monday due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon “Bising” (international name Surigae).
In Legazpi City, Mayor Noel Rosal suspended work in private and government offices, except those delivering essential health and social services, like grocery stores and drugstores.
In neighboring Daraga town, Mayor Victor Perete said work in government offices was suspended, except for those engaged in health, disaster risk management, and public order.
Perete said he also suspended the synchronous and asynchronous classes at all levels.
In Guinobatan, Mayor Ann Gemma Ongjoco also suspended all classes in public and private schools.
In Camalig, Mayor Carlos Irwin Baldo Jr. suspended the work in public and private offices except agencies involved in health, security, welfare, and disaster response.

Sto. Domingo Mayor Joseling Aguas Jr. also ordered the suspension of work in local government offices except for the essential offices.
