COVID-19-free Año finally back to work
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año finally returned to work on Friday after a three-month medical leave to fully recover from COVID-19, which he contracted twice last year. Año, 59, however, would be working from home, said Jonathan Malaya, spokesperson of the Department of the Interior and Local Government. “After more than three months of grueling struggle, including a heart operation, the secretary is well, in high spirits and ready to resume his duties in the department, as well as in the National Task Force against COVID-19 and the [Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases],” he added.
