Bohol records 23rd COVID-19 fatality

The town of Maribojoc in Bohol province recorded its second death due to COVID-19 after a 55-year-old resident succumbed to the virus. (Leo Udtohan/Inquirer Visayas)

TAGBILARAN CITY—A 55-year-old woman from Maribojoc town, Bohol province died of COVID-19.

She was the province’s 23rd fatality.

Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, spokesperson of the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force, said the woman had diabetes and hypertension and developed pneumonia, the most severe effect of COVID-19.

Bohol currently has 1,187 COVID-19 cases, 145 of which are still active. It also has 1,019 recoveries.
