DAGUPAN CITY—The Pangasinan government has recommended the resumption of provincial bus operations after all local government units supported the move.

The recommendation has been relayed by Gov. Amado Espino III to Nasrudin Talipasan, director of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in the Ilocos region.

In September 2020, the LTFRB asked the Pangasinan government to allow provincial bus operations when more establishments were allowed to open after quarantine restrictions were relaxed.

But the operations would be in a limited capacity and subject to gradual relaxation.

The trips must also be point-to-point and no passengers may be picked up or dropped off beyond the designated points during the trip.
