Buy-bust in Pampanga leads to arrest of suspect, P2.7M in meth

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Police on Tuesday (Feb. 2) arrested a drug suspect and seized P2.7 million in shabu, or crystal meth, from him in Mabalacat City, north of this Pampanga capital, during a buy-bust operation.

Operatives found some 400 grams of meth in nine packets in the possession of Arnel Gonzales, who posed as tricycle driver, during the buy-bust operation, according to Col. Rossel Cejas, Mabalacat police chief.

Cops also seized from Gonzales at least five P1,000 bills, a digital weighing scale and a car with license plate.

Cejas said the suspect sells shabu in Mabalacat and Angeles City where he lives.
