Bacolod City curfew still from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. in February

BACOLOD CITY — Curfew hours in this city will continue to be from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., and persons below 15 years old and above 65 years old must continue to stay at home throughout February.

According to Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, exempted from his order are workers on night shifts, media practitioners, firemen, ambulance services, disaster responders, and those requiring medical assistance on board public or private vehicles.

Curfew hours, he said, may be adjusted at any time within the duration of the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

The selling of liquor, wine, beer or any alcoholic or intoxicating beverage will continue to be allowed within private residences but only from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Leonardia’s executive order said proper wearing of face masks and face shields, hand sanitation practices, and physical distancing in all public places will continue to be observed.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday approved the extension of MGCQ in Bacolod City and Negros Island for the entire month of February.

Mass gatherings such as but not limited to movie screenings, concerts, and other entertainment activities, religious services, and work conferences will continue to be allowed provided that participants should be limited to 50 percent of the seating or venue capacity.
