Antipolo City targets 15,000 Covid-19 vaccinations per day

MANILA, Philippines — Antipolo City is targeting to vaccinate at least 15,000 residents a day once Covid-19 vaccines are available, Mayor Andrea Ynares said Friday.

In a televised briefing, Ynares said the local government already identified 50 sites that will serve as vaccination centers where 300 vaccinators will be deployed.

“Ready po kami, na-identify na po namin ‘yung sites namin, 50 sites for vaccination centers and we have 300 vaccinators, tatlong vaccinators sa isang site po ‘yun,” Ynares said during the Laging Handa briefing.

(We are ready. We already identified 50 sites for vaccination centers and we have 300 vaccinators. There will be three vaccinators for each site.)

“So more or less, magkakaroon kami ng 15,000 na mababakunahan per day,” she added.

(More or less, there will be 15,000 people who will be vaccinated per day.)

Ynares said the local government welcomes applications for vaccinators.

Antipolo City already earmarked P300-million for the purchase of  Covid-19 vaccines developed by  AstraZeneca.

The exact amount of vaccine doses the city already secured has yet to be disclosed.
