2 policemen dead, 2 hurt in Camp Crame fire
MANILA, Philippines — Two policemen died of electrocution while two others were injured early on Friday when a fire broke out inside the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The fatalities were identified as Police Master Sgt. Amado Ormillon Jr. from Headquarters Support Service and Police Staff Sgt. Nichol Jamosmos from the Special Action Force (SAF).
Injured were Police Lt. Victorioso Yulde from SAF and Police Staff Sgt. Jesus Apil from Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.
The fire started around 2:30 a.m. at the Transportation Maintenance Division facility where a parked V-150 armored vehicle of the SAF was seen on fire.
Yulde and Jamosjos were inside the burning vehicle. Ormillon who was part of the responding team, was electrocuted by a live wire. The fire was put out at 3:06 a.m. —Dexter Cabalza
