Motorcycle assassin kills ex-village councilor in Biliran
ORMOC CITY—A former village councilor was shot and killed by a still unidentified assailant in the town of Naval, Biliran province on Thursday (Jan. 7).
Romeo Berdida, 55, resident of Larrazabal village, suffered gunshot wounds in the back and forehead, according to Maj. Michael John Astorga, Naval police station chief.
The Naval police, in an initial investigation report, said Berdida had just returned home after buying livestock feed when he was shot by the motorcycle-riding assailant.
Police have yet to identify the assailant or the motive for the killing.
