Bacolod mayor orders curfew reimposition
BACOLOD CITY — Mayor Evelio Leonardia has ordered the reimposition of the curfew hours in this city from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Exemptions, he said, include workers on night shifts, public emergencies like fire, ambulance services, and other occasions caused by disaster, and those requiring medical assistance.
Curfew hours were set from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the second half of December to give people the chance to attend the Simbang Gabi and Misa de Gallo.
Since Bacolod is under the modified general community quarantine, the mayor advised vulnerable sectors to stay indoors at all times.
Those belonging to the vulnerable sector include persons below 15 years old and over 65 years old, those with immunodeficiency, comorbidity, or other health risks regardless of age, pregnant women, and those who reside with such persons.
The selling of liquor, wine, beer, or any alcoholic or intoxicating beverage will continue to be allowed only from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Leonardia said.
