Film director Kidlat Tahimik gets the virus

/ 04:38 AM December 21, 2020

BAGUIO CITY — National Artist for Film Kidlat Tahimik (real name Eric de Guia) went on self-quarantine on Sunday after testing positive for the new coronavirus.

He said he contracted the virus after the Ibagiw Festival, the city’s “Creative City Festival” that gathered artists and craftsmen for various activities and a monthlong exhibit that began on Nov. 6.

“Regretfully, I may have had lapses in face mask security—posing for a selfie sans mask. Inadvertently I might have exposed myself to the coronavirus,” he said in a statement. —INQUIRER NORTHERN LUZON
