/ 04:37 AM December 21, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Cyclists passing through Pasig City are no longer required to wear face shields after the city government acknowledged the dangers of wearing a face shield while driving a bicycle.

Cyclists’ groups such as MNL Moves raised concerns about the dangers of wearing face shields while biking. Even Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the requirement of wearing face shields in public should have exceptions. —NIKKA G. VALENZUELA
