Teen boy shoots brother dead

A 16-year-old boy in Tabogon town, northern Cebu, shot dead his younger brother who played a practical joke on him by sending him  text messages to set up a bogus   date with a girl.

The younger brother died of a  gunshot wound in the head.

Filled with remorse, the young shooter  was taken into custody and turned over to social workers.

Police said the 16-year-old boy was upset when he found out that text messages he received were actually from his brother, who had pretended to be a girl.

The 16-year-old boy went to the place where they were supposed to meet but  no one showed up.
