Negros Occidental mayor back to work after recovery from COVID-19
BACOLOD CITY –– Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca of Victorias City in Negros Occidental is back to work after recovering from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Palanca said he returned to work Tuesday while his four companions were also back on Thursday.
“It’s good to be functional again because there is a lot of work to do. I thank God for the opportunity to be well again,” he said.
“Perhaps, I was made to experience having the virus so I could advise people better,” he added.
Palanca and his companions, who traveled to Bacolod, earlier tested positive for COVID-19.
He advised people to always follow the health protocols like wearing face masks and shields, and practice physical distancing to stop the spread of the virus.
