DOT allows 7,200 hotels, resorts to operate

More than 7,200 hotels and resorts have so far been allowed to operate by the Department of Tourism (DOT) to enable the industry to gradually recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These establishments have been inspected and are compliant with health measures, said Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat. Most of these hotels and resorts are in Calabarzon with 1,303; Central Luzon with 830; and Ilocos region with 806. —Tina G. Santos
