Two cops hurts in raid on shabu den in QC,
MANILA, Philippines — Two lawmen were hurt, while seven alleged drug dealers were arrested in a drug den raid in Quezon City before dawn on Thursday, a police official said Thursday.
Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent George Regis said that Senior Police Officer 2 Nilbert Forlucas and PO1 Teodoro Casison were wounded when officers from the Police Station 10 (Kamuning) swooped down an alleged drug den in Cadena de Amor Muslim Mosque, Napocor in Central village, Quezon City.
George Alquero and Mario Germar were arrested first by authorities at around 12:55 a.m., said Regis. He explained that the two suspects revealed information on drug dealers known as “Lito” and “Ustadz” in their area during a police interrogation, prompting police to do a follow-up operation.
The police director stated that aliases “Lito” and “Ustadz” were not among those arrested but authorities were able to catch Honey Boy Alejandro, Eddie Santos, Esmael Maulana, Jamal Abdul Lumambas, and Christian Paul Desuyo. Seized from the suspects were seven sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “shabu,” aluminium foil sheets, and two lighters.
The suspects face charges of frustrated murder and violation of RA 9165, said Regis. Forlucas and Casison were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center, he added.
