Jonathan C. Tuico; 49

Jonathan Cuachon Tuico, Legislative Staff Officer II of the Senate Office of International Relations and Protocol, succumbed to scoliosis of the liver  on Jan. 24 at the age of 49.

His remains were cremated at 9 p.m. the same day at the Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium in Guadalupe, Makati City, and the ashes were later transferred to the Sto. Domingo Church on Quezon Ave., Quezon City.  Tuico is survived by his wife Cyril and son Jonathan Miguel.

Tuico served at the Senate of the Philippines for the last 25 years. He was employed as a legislative page under the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms from 1987 to 1995 and transferred to the Protocol Office from 1995 to 2012.
