Gunmen shoot cyclist dead in Bohol town

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Unidentified gunmen shot dead a cyclist while traversing the national highway in Loon town on Sunday noon.

Police Corporal Dave Vincent Solon, investigator at the Loon police station, identified the victim as Nestor Calacar, a resident of Barangay Tawala in Panglao town based on the home quarantine pass found in the victim’s possession.

Calacar, who was alone, was on his bike at 12:05 p.m. when he was shot by the still unidentified gunmen.

Calacar died on the spot.

Police have yet to identify the motive behind the killing and the perpetrators.
