Siquijor province still COVID-19-free
CEBU CITY –– The province of Siquijor remains free from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) although three persons from the island have contracted the virus.
Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, spokesperson of the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7), said the three patients were admitted in hospitals outside the island but listed Siquijor as their home address.
She said one of the cases was admitted to a hospital in Makati City, one in Pasig City, and the third one in Cebu City.
Loreche said both patients from Makati and Cebu cities had died.
Siquijor, she said, remains with no admitted or active coronavirus cases.
